Greetings everyone
I just want to say what a wonderful resource this forum is. I have spent many hours going through various posts pertaining to Scott Bonnar 45s. And the Bonnar Bible is absolutely brilliant. I use it on a daily basis.
The forum and its resources have given me the confidence to attempt a restoration project.
The attached photo shows my two SB 45 solid deck 14" mowers.
The mower on the right was bought new by my father around 1970. It was used regularly up until about 15 years ago, when there were issues with the motor. Since then it has been stuck in the corner of the shed, slowly rusting away.
The mower on the left was bought as a replacement around 15 years ago. It is my weekly work horse and runs and cuts beautifully.
My intentions are to turn the (more) rusting mower into a groomer. It needs a new engine and a few new/second-hand parts to get it running again.
If that is successful, then I will look at doing up the other mower.
No doubt you will be hearing from me frequently in the coming months as I seek the expert advice that the members so graciously offer.
Regards
Foles

Thanks for the link BB
What a brilliant verti-cutter. It is amazing to see what you started with and the finished product. No wonder you have a Masters in Scott Bonnar!
I will print out a photo of your verti-cutter to use as inspiration for getting mine done (Not that I am expecting to achieve anything so brilliant).
