The people on this forum are pretty enterprising, i reckon now you would do well if you could get your hands on a broken chest freezer and repair etc and sell.
You can't buy them new now as all sold out due to food panic buying.
I has a chest freezer few years back but sold it as couldn't justify running it really when it was just filling with crap I didn't need.
If you could get from the tip or something and repair you could probably sell for a new price.
What happened to the old Malley/Whirlpool Tuckerboxes? I remember we had them as a kid and they seemed indestructible.
Funny that you cannot get any. I wonder what else will be out of stock by the end of this crap. Good old Australia selling off all the manufacturing...
Some pics I took at Woy Woy Woolworths yesterday after finding these items had been plundered by the panicking sheep. 1.Baked beans. 2. Flour. 3.Sugar. 4.Tissues. 5. Canned tomatoes. 6.Soap.
There needs to be a registering process requiring I.D before you can enter the store and your purchases tracked ppb a database.
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
I managed to get baked beans on special and milk at my local IGA. The milk section looked like it had just been restocked when I was there at 7:30pm. It was full to the brim and I never normally see that at this time of day before this happened. I spotted one lone tin of the Black and Gold tinned chopped tomatoes for 79c which I happen to like. It has no ring pull but I have a cheap tin opener that works well. It has a dent in it but I'm not going to be a chooser! Bread shelves cleaned out but found one white loaf left at the Shell garage. Again, prefer multigrain but won't complain. Haven't had white for a long time, and I like the taste but my conscience makes me buy healthier normally.
Wow Tyler, we didn't have it as badly as your way obviously. There were plenty of the generic brand sardines but as they were a "product of Thailand from various sources" we turned it down, as everybody else obviously had. Maybe we should have taken the risk.

Also Sapper you were talking about Aussie made refrigeration.
That chest freezer you mentioned was before my time but the unit I did have was Aussie made and also my current fridge ( Westinghouse) I believe was one of the last domestic fridges to be made in Australia in 2011 or 2012 I think.
Ps I wasn't going to bother to buy another chest freezer as don't really need it. Yet
MF, there really was nothing. A few weeks ago it was all the 99c pasta going. Now even all the expensive 'artisan' or whatever stuff is gone as well.
Over 2 coles, was able to get the crackers I like (last 2 boxes), no weeties or vitabrits, only some of the expensive jam, the sardines were John West. Bakers delight had plenty of bread, but who knows when their flour will run out
