Have an old Masport Commander self-propelled walk behind slasher. I need to set the cutting deck higher, right now cutting deck almost rides on the ground. I don't have an owners manual. The front of the cutting deck can be raised by adjusting the jockey wheel in front. Anyone know how to raise the rear of the cutting deck. Any help much appreciated! Thank you!!!

Hi bexar, I'm not sure what a Masport Commander looks like, but whatever you try to do to lift the rear is not going to be easy. We had a similar discussion a few days ago about lifting the rear on a self propelled Victa and the only sort of fix was to somehow glue thick rubber of some sort to the rear wheels. As I said it isn't an easy fix

G'day folks, The jockey wheel is the only cutting height adjustment on these machines. After all, they are a slasher, not a lawn finish mower.
As the rear wheel drive is the friction type, going to bigger rear wheels isn't an option, either.
Cheers, Gadge

Here is a link to the manuals area which has the parts list for the model you have quoted. https://www.outdoorking-forum.com.au/forum/u...ts-list-operators-manuals.html#Post13252

Gentlemen 'Thank You' all for your helpful replies. Each and everyone is most appreciated! Anyone know where I can get a copy of the owners manual? I have the parts list, but would like to know more about the machine and its operation in general!!!
