Gday fellas,
So I am a little confused as to what fuel mixture I use in my imperial.

The sticker on the frame calls for "BP zoom outbaord". "2 Fluid Oz of SAE 30 motor oil to 1 Gal of regular petrol".

Now I did the maths to convert that to metric so I can apply that.
The first conversion is in US imperial
0.0591471L oil to 3.784L of fuel which ends up being a 63:1 ratio

This measurement is in UK imperial
0.0568261L oil to 4.54609L of fuel which ends up being 80:1 ratio.

I would think our measurement was that of the British but 80:1 is like no oil at all.
I want this motor to run as best as possible as to maximise power and to minimise wear.

Hello POI and Norm
This has been asked before.

The Imperial had a spacer between the cylinder and cylinder head.
This reduced compression and made for a cooler-running engine.

Victa Zoom Outboard was 50:1 and I believe that ratio to be the best
for imperials.

But I do note that Victa did say the machine would run on 80:1.
