Got this given to me buy a guy after servicing his Victa Lawnkeeper 4 stroke this weekend. He said it's been sitting in his shed for years and doesn't know whether it runs or not. Well, i can tell you it runs just fine after a little TLC. This is the "after" photo i didn't think to take the "before" picture.

As George Takei who played Sulu in Star Trek would no doubt say "oh my!".
It looks in wonderful unused shape. That storage payed dividends. I'm amazed he would relinquish such a fine mower and keep that Chonda (or B&S) cheapo Lawnkeeper rustbucket.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

Hi BT,
Some people are just plain dumb, looks like you had a good score there, it looks almost too good to be put back to cutting lawns.

Hello gents, it is a tidy unit, but it was made with one purpose; to cut grass. The lucky new owner will have themselves a machine to last another 40 years.

Well Sunbeam is best known as an appliance manufacturer so it may as well be treated as such.
That particular shape thumb latch catcher seems to hold up better than the others.
I would add a bit of steel strip to the left hand side if it's going to scrape against objects regularly.

Yes BT, a mower should do what a mower should do and as you say if the new owner just does the basic maintenance on it it should still be going in another 40 years
