They say: Walbro’s revolutionary new Spiral metering diaphragm is unaffected by ethanol and provides consistent fuel delivery, engine performance and exhaust emissions throughout the life of hand-held products. They say "This is the last metering diaphragm you will ever put on your Walbro carburetor. "
Sounds too good to be true. Here is where I saw it:
Strange they have been out for nearly two years now. BTW the guy in the video is wrong that the new "W" tool replaces the old "W" tool. It does not as it is only for the newer carburetors so you will still the older "W" tool if you work on the older carburetors.
If you research the spiral kit every one comes a new tool which is part of the cost of the kit. If you are a shop that does repairs and buy lots of these kits you are going to have a lot of these to throw away. Personally I don't see a need to buy a new tool every time I install one of these kits. Unless they have changed kits in the last year.
Yes they are using a thin Mylar sheet diaphragm. I still think it will give trouble later but will have a much life span. Most of my customers are not will to pay the extra cost of the new kit so I still install a lot of the older style kits.
Okay, fellow techs. here is a link to the application guide that the US based Walbro setup for determining which kit you need. Appear they are only for the newer carburettors only.
Hopefully I will be selling this kit soon as complete kit with the W tool and also just the kit without the tool and W can also be purchased separately. Obviously it's a quality aftermarket parts.
Outdoorking will have stock in early December and be listed on the site with what carburetors that they will fit, so keep an eye out. This is where they will be listed CLICK HERE

We have some stock at present and still working on the conversion sheet which is still not complete as yet. I am attaching the present file but note that it could have some errors at this stage.
I have now updated the file so you can click on the part number for a direct link to the site.
