Hi BB they named a city in Japan USA, U.S.A. is 3 words United States of America requiring a full stop after each letter if wanting to be correct but nobody takes any notice of it and just assumed USA meant it was made in America. I'm not sure if the Japanese city still exists. I remember those tin toys that were obviously cheap at the time, (probably worth a fortune these days) that were obviously not American quality but had made in USA on them BB I just googled USA Japan and I see they now spell it Usa
Very surprised that anything in Japan would ever be called USA or Usa.
Anyway that usage of "Made for USA" is all about tricking folks outside of Asia that if it's good enough for the United States of America, then it's a better quality made item than what's normally coming out of China.
Cheers, BB.
