I used to say "glad I nicked a Victa". In a way I have, from the rubbish skip of a mower shop! My best finds from a mower shop was a 1974 VC Mustang with good catcher included that started straight away. Another time I found a good VC 160 (no catcher this time) with the smoothest 160 engine I ever had. The handles didn't vibrate at all, even on low idle. Now that was the good old days -early 2000s.
Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
