G'day everyone,

Hi Jds303 I am new to these powertorque engines but after I read this I checked the photos of mine and I went outside and had a look at the mower and it doesn't have a hole for the rivet either. But there is a slot or something near there where it looks like some sort of thing may have been installed when they were new. Maybe in the later years after many were getting returned to repair shops because of broken spark plugs etc, Victa then updated the newly made engines with a riveted spark plug guard?

I don't know but now reading this I am thinking I might also have to use some sort of spark plug guard when I get this mower running again.

It looks like you can't buy these guards new anymore from reading the posts around here. I might have to use Speedy's idea and see if I have any old unused forks in the kitchen aswell...lol

Cheers!
