I had somebody wanting this mower yesterday and I asked why he wanted it "because I want cheap mower" I said that he did not appreciate the heritage of the mower
G'day Norm, Max, Nowerfreak and all,
I wish I had expressed Norm's view in that language.

The Mayfair was, arguably, Victa's most successful model by
sales volume in the day. Shelf life? About 15 years!

But the Mayfair did live on - in a new guise - as a high-arch job.
It lost its original DNA.

As a Stencil mower, it was widely marketed under various store brands.
I guess hundreds!

I have written about the first Mayfairs, where Victa attempted
to disassociate itself with the brand. Good luck with that!

Later, the Victa Mayfair would appear, alongside the stencil
store branded mowers. Amazing!

This was a mower Victa knew it had to get 'right'.
It did! laugh

Cheers
