I think we try and be 'myth-busters' here.
The Model 45 is, as the lawyer might say,
sui generis ... in a class by itself.
It has been bought in volume over a long period of time. It has been reproduced
in copy forms over the world today. It has been well documented.
It is a collector machine
and a modern lawnmower (in original or copy variants).
Then another commentor said he has one in an identical colour, but a solid deck with a B&S engine date stamped October 1978.
Two wrongs do not make a right...
I feel you have nipped myth in the bud here, and
everyone benefits.
