There are signs that classic Victa two strokes (and not necessarily Cortinas & Corvettes from the Skippy era) are enjoying cult status like old Holdens among the hipster crowd. The columnist Tim Blair recently mentioned in Sydney's Daily Telegraph than w whenever he pulls it the trusty 30+ yo Victa 2 stroke mower at his home in Erskineville, it draws admiring glances and commentary from passing trendoids. When I took out my old 125cc beater to do the nature strip, a group of young mums had amused looks on their faces and a young bloke couldn't take his eyes of the thing!

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
