I fitted a 13hp Chonda in this mower yesterday but I'm in a bit of a pickle as to what to do about a fuel tank. Anybody have any pics of what they have done or any suggestions.
Maybe a tank in front of the firewall like a Viking mower? Otherwise, a fuel pump would be required.
what I don't get my head around is the way the throttle works. It is under spring tension which holds the butterfly fully open so what that means is if the throttle cable should break or dislodge the motor will go full throttle? Any thoughts?
The governor spring should hold the throttle butterfly wide open when the motor is stopped. There should also be a slide mechanism that the hand throttle cable connects to in order to regulate the revs. What happens when this motor is running?
It depends if the throttle cable slide boss moves without the cable on. Usually they have some resistance. Depends on how it's all been put together I guess!
If possible a picture of the control mechanism would be helpful. (I presume it's a clone of the Honda GXV390)
