Interesting thing about registering this trailer. Finally got to Vic Rds yesterday to find out about getting a vin number. As long as it is a single axle trailer with a gross weight of under 750 kg, and this left me gobsmacked. They don't need to see the trailer, they don't need a RWC, they don't need to see any receipts for material to build the trailer and they don't want to see any photos of it or during the build process.. When I queried how this can be I was told I had to fill out the registration request paperwork, this has a series of yes/no questions. When I asked what verification that I was not registering a stolen trailer, I was told that filling out the paperwork was the same as filling out a stat declaration and if I put incorrect information on it I could be held responsible. I still can't believe it
