Thanks Trev, probably not worth the postage or the effort on your part,I probably have half a dozen here at the moment that I will rebuild when the need arises, usually a hone and a set of rings wakes them up. The beauty of the G4/LM manifold means I just do the carby mod and then they are a fantastic, reliable motor. As for the crankcase numbers I don't know but as far as I know most were on the sidepull motors, but I do have one here on a cup starter that looks original which sort of indicates that the G4 carb may have been introduced before the pressed metal base and the sidepull. I will get a pic of it later this morning, maybe somebody will know what it is, I was planning on using the motor on something else because I don't have a catcher for it which is a pity because the base is in excellent condition. Maybe somebody might want it.
