It would be a good buy especially if the reel has a few extra blades. Tony at moolap mowers and chainsaws has a machine to sharpen blades. Tony is a genuine small engine mechanic and knows his stuff. I wouldn't go to the local mower stores as they will just outsource the reel sharpening. There is a mower repair shop in grayling st Belmont who might be worth a visit. If you speak to Alan at waurn ponds Bunnings store, he knows of a chap who sharpens reels. Alan is an older chap who you can usually find in the mower section at Bunnings.
