The reel gave me trouble. After some advice, It turn out the ends were left hand thread. I found an interesting imprint on the reel. An elephant with the word NONPAREIL. From what I can find, Wiliam Tyzack, Sons and Turner were a business making saws in Sheffield from 1879 - 1974.
