First post, great forum by the the way - been reading lots of posts, but just want to see if I can get some good oil on a friends Victa I'm helping with. This mower was hard to start, ran ok, and started reliability when warm. So far I've cleaned the carby, found the gasket on air cleaner to carby was not sealing so pretty sure the no start problem was the primer bulb not filling carby with fuel (no choke on this).
What I need is as I have taken the gov arm off - was loose (feedback from engine?) - is there a way to static set it or make sure it is in right position before I start up?
Also the spark plug that came out was (ngk) BPMR7A - smelt really strong (burning/carbon) and wet - is this the right type?
