BUMP.... OOPS lol
As a new member, I am absolutely astonished that with such passionate enthusiasm, discussions on equipment, the forum doesn't have a section to deal with the numerous species of victims of said equipment. I have to say I LOVE LAWN!!!!!!!
There I said it. lol.
After 2 weeks or so on the site and with a bias towards reel mowers, I would dearly love to see a section dedicated to growing, caring for and cutting the green stuff (Lawn you stoners....GEEEZ!!)
I realize that there may be people from all over the planet as members, but feel that just as we convert seasons and Fahrenheit to Celcius when viewing youtube videos etc., those members in other parts could also do the same.
Simrice...I had already subscribed to your youtube channel prior to joining here so it was great to be able to put 2&2 together and know who you are lol. The fact you are in Melbourne gives a sense of credence to any advice you may like to impart on us locals. Your lawn is something I aspire to with mine.
I have a ton of questions on Santa Ana/ Nullarbor plain, having 4 week old turf that seems to be settling in nicely, but will begin with one.
AS I stated, my 60 metres of Couch turf is now four weeks old. In spite of a light compaction and regular water filled drum rolls there are high spots and low spots, undulations just a little deeper than I'd like. Is it too late in the season with dormancy approaching, to top dress with washed sand in order to smooth them out?
Anyone feel free to share some knowledge.......I may have just spawned an organic monster
Cheers
