Personally, I feel that a decent lawn forum does not exist on any other Australian based forum, and this could be an opportunity to bring more people to the site, as well as building the ODK community. I have had to resort to joining a couple of North American forums, just so I can find a community that shares my passion.
In reference to the concerns raised by Deejay and Gadge, I think that whether you grow couch in Adelaide, Perth, Durban or even Texas, the same methods of care and maintenance apply. After all, all grasses types are confined to grow in a specific region(s). For example the growing season climates of warm-season grass types are in fact not that dissimilar.
At the very least having an area where members can talk about how to get the most out of their machines, and ODK members can share their experiences to help. For example, someone has bought or restored a SB45 and wants to exploit its full potential.
