Goodmorning folks,
Ricardo123 here from Perth WA.
I have just joined Outdoorking after having the site recommended to me by a work colleague.
I am a motor mechanic(cars) by trade many moons ago, however 20 years or so ago did a transition course into small motors and am currently repairing and rebuilding mowers etc in my workshop at home.Even as a reasonably experienced tradie myself I am not too old to learn and read the questions and your answers with great interest.
What an awesome site. There are not too many tradies out there prepared to commit the time, energy and share their wealth of knowledge with average joe blow who has a project happening in the shed or is just interested in furthering their knowledge and taking the plunge to solve some of the problems that small motors in particular throw at us.
I have noticed a particular "fetish" with Scott Bonnar cylinder mowers with a lot of your members.
If I may ask a question.
It seems that since Rover has ceased production of the cylinder mowers in Australia parts are becoming increasingly difficult to buy eg aliminium cylinder bearing holders.
Are you aware of a source of supply that is perhaps manufacturing after market SB 45 components?.I believe that Rover may be sourcing a manufacturer in China to continue the supply of what has become an Aussie icon.
Many thanks for your time and well done on a fantastic site.
