Had a jammed starter rope on the Powertorque so dissassembled the unit, spring was slighly bent at end so straightened that out, unit now works fine
outside of the mower but once I install it over the crankcase I don't get the required amount of tension pulling it back, it sort of limps along and if I pull on the rope it retracts back a little at a time. Spring looks fine to me but could it have lost some tension when it was jammed or is there anything else I should check. Saw Joe's video on youtube about winding the rope back, excellent video by the way
Rewind pull cord , at one point he says that if the mechanism doesn't pull back strongly you may need a second hand unit, mine looks ok but are there other things I've overlooked?
