Thanks Bruce. I will try & reset the timing as above. Also I have noticed another mark on the flywheel that may be the "new" timing marks. I'll align & see if it makes any difference. I don't suppose there would be any point blocks/condensors etc. lying around if I wanted to revert this to the traditional ignition? Bolster.
