Got this given to me and the bloke said it had something wrong with the starter motor that had been taken off but still there, I gave it a zap on a battery and seened to kick out alright and spin up, but the solinoid was broken so I thought I might be on a winner here and went and got a new one and out it back together but when I started turning it over the starter was a bit slow and smoke started comming out of it so ordered a new starter motor and thats when I realised all was not good with the moter as it was chuffing back through the carby, so I ripped that off and checked the tappet clearances which still had claerance anyway, I cleaned the carby while I had it off anyway, so I pulled the head to check the valve seats and Bugger the bore is stuffed, so back to square 1, I am looking for a replacement engine for it, I got a probably 4hp on a mower I got from the tip but dont know if it would be big enough to drive the Beer Gofer I am going to turn this into, have started pulling the mower gear off it but have found that if I use the engine from the greenkeeper I will need to get a pully with a smaller ID for the shaft, what do you guys think about the little engine on this thing would it do for a Gofer with a flat tray for the esky?? , here it is in all its glory.
