Mate, I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings....but that reel is shot and looks like it has had a hard life....especially with the wavy blade. It has had its chips. cry
That reel is not compatible with an SB Model 45 nor any other model as far as I know.

However, there may be light at the end of the tunnel, I have sent you a PM; (just have a look for a flashing envelope on the top toolbar next to "My Stuff")
