I dont't know why we should even acknowledge your comment about McCulloch.
As a once leading manufacturer of Chain Saws McCulloch had as many "firsts" as anyone in the industry. They tried lots of new ideas and some of them worked very well and some not so well. When Black and Decker took over the company all development of professional product ceased and the saws that were developed from that time on are in the consumer category and some of them were a nightmare to work on. That should not detract from all the terriffic models that McCulloch built or diminish their place in the history of chain saw manufacture.
