Ok, have looked at how to use Plastigage, just have to get some.

Grumpy I used an old top ring to get 0.75mm.
I used a new top ring and measured 0.5mm.

My micrometer only goes to 26mm, best crank pin measurement I can get is 37mm with my verniers, no matter where I measure.
