bruce i have checked the starter o ring also manifold and cyl block o rings all were ok but replaced anyway , there does not appear to be any cracks in the carby plastic i could not detect any air leaks via induction etc. seemed a pity to pull it apart but nothing ventured nothing gained. rgds graham
