If you check and correct this, we can tell you the date of manufacture of your engine. The engine has had one or two "tenant's improvements" but the ones I've noticed haven't been important. Much more significantly, it looks as if the reel has never been resharpened, so there is plenty of meat on it - it could be resharpened quite a few times. Generally the mower looks to be in quite decent shape. Do you have a catcher for it?
