hello tysen, i am assuming the engine is the same one that is on the outdoorking forum. if so, then the rope
pulley on the blue engine is the correct one, as is the existing fuel tap. i think your mower engine is earlier than the one in deejays photo. if your engine had the recoil set-up then there would have been two extra holes in the cowling.all my books say that the early engines had the rope pull set-up. the on-off switch does not appear to be original as they usually had a switch on the side of the engine.the 7f engine had several different carbies with
different air filters.if you can get the carby model, stamped on the carby and let me know i might have the correct filter. it will have b12, b12/1 b12/2,b12/5,s12.hope this helps you.
regards john,

I will see if the red engine is any different, as it does not have the pulley, so maybe it was recoil.

And I will also get those carby numbers across to him, see there to go from there.

UPDATE:
After sending him the serial numbers, I received this response

tysen, the first numbers are the spec number which gives you the parts fitted as
different manufacturers required different spec on their equipment,eg- 77x and 301x.the remaining numbers are the engine numbers.i dont have any specs on engine
77x, as my information starts at no. 100x. engine 301x should have the following
parts fitted. e135au, throttle control spring,c408au fuel tank,d380au fuel filter bowl
tap, d411au crankcase. so the lower half of the crankcase may be different than the
blue engine. regards john
