Haven't had that problem Deejay, my snakes seemed to like beaten paths and grass. What I did find though, is when you beat your way through 5-6 foot high heavy blackberries with a huge load of spray gear on your back, from time to time you step in a foxhole. Instant drop of nearly 3 feet, landing in the hurdle position. Getting out is something of a trick with all that burden on your back, a faceful of blackberries, and a spray wand in your hand, plus there's nothing to grab hold of that won't drive thorns right through your leather gloves, and if you lean forward you get a few litres of Garlon down your back. Ah, the good old days. I'm sure I'll miss them one day.
