From what I can work out, there were a number of Mustang Releases, in 3 Major changes.

1) The Early ones with the Series 70 MKIII Engine (G3 Metal Carby, Deco Valve, Etc) This one was available in the green base, green top, green catcher 'Blob' look, and also in red and white (Red Base, White Top, Red Catcher) and was very late on released in Green and White (green base + Catcher, white top)

2) The Mid ones, with the plastic carby, facing backwards (These first had no primer bulb, then later they had the remote primer bulb) these came in the all green blob style, and the green and white style

3) The later ones, Plastic carby, facing forward with the white face, and black primer bulb, the dress cowl was given allowance for the air intake tube to pass through the far side of the cowl, and up the (operators) right hand side. These again came in green and white, and green on green, and somewhere during the run of this mower, the 'VC' was dropped from the name and towards the end, the green on green was dropped too.

Right throughout the catchers maintained the same style as far as i can tell (though you often see the wrong ones) they were the rounder thumb catch ones, in green or red.

Would it help if I did a little ID Guide thread on the mustang? I am picking up a fair bit of interest in it.

Cheers
Ty
