In this photo, the black wire is the earth. It goes up to the unused Keystart unit next to the throttle. The red wire (at the right of the photo) is the one that used to be connected to the 3rd wire of the loom. My old lead assembly had 3 long wires, the new one has 2 long & 1 short, which ought to be hooked up to that right-side red connector. For now, this brown short wire is not connected to anything.
