I've cleaned out the carby and replaced all the gaskets. I've adjusted both mixture screws so they are open 1 and a half turns. I'm pretty sure the float level is ok. The float lever where it meets the spring is about level with the carb body. I've replaced the spark plug. Cleaned the carb in solvent and blown it out with compressed air.
Would it be possible the ignition could be the problem? It has a spark but it looks abit weak. Is there anyway of testing if the spark is good enough? Anything else I should check?
The trimmer wasn't running when it was given to me...

I'd appreciate any help you can offer....thanks.

Have you checked the cylinder for any damage through the exhaust port? cheers2
