The crank hub comes loose a lot easier if you hammer them loose Norm, if I put a puller on and tension the puller then put one side of the boss on an old train line then hit a brass drift on top of the side of the boss it shocks the boss loose in no time.

With old 4 strokes I don't use a puller to get the boss off if I'm throwing the motor out ,I just smash the alloy off one side
then hit the boss off with the brass drift and a hammer then keep tuning the crank so you hit one side then the other side of the boss.

You don't even need CRC to remove the hubs as the hammering loosens the rusted hub.

Never had a hub not come off this way but without the hammering I've broken pullers and stripped the threads on pullers.
