To that original query, I do know my home tyre pump has a multi size end that should work on a slightly smaller valve. It has a tooth that grabs the end of the stem as you fit it over. Mine has the tooth missing but will still work while you hold it on.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
