2.5 kg is good Norm ,I've seen these advertised in 1 kg , 2 kg and 2.5 kg.
A long time ago when I would weld up the left side of the Power Torque bases and put a patch of sheet steel over the rust hole, I would use an oxy and acetylene welder then use bike spokes as welding rod, worked well and the rods (spokes) cost nothing .
