The model numbers will be stamped into a piece of metal, could be the muffler shroud, flywheel cowl near the spark plug or in front of the carb. The little chamber is the PCV and yes just grey gasket goo is all that is used to seal it.
Nothing stamped other than the '8' and '125' near the base of the engine.
This is the parts list for that engine according to the serial number on the sticker.
Thanks heaps Bruce. Can I ask, how did you desypher the serial on the sticker ? Bigted mentioned the first few being a date, how do you read the last few digits ?
