Firstly, to get the bearing back on without a press, I would suggest freezing the crank and hopefully that would reduce diameter enough for it to be quickly 'persuaded' back on
Can confirm Norm is fine, taking an understandable break from mowers over winter due to the cold, along with another thing which happened late last year here.
I am sure he won't mind me letting any of you who remember the possum issue he was having know it was sorted by cutting down the liquid amber tree.
Norm has, and hopefully will soon continue, to be a valued member and contributor of ODK and always offered fast assistance regarding Victa 2 stroke problems
Always trying to get around bad engineering(eg super 24 PT kickback), I am sure most of us have done his G4/LM carby mod on a least one occasion
Hopefully he will be back soon

PS The only thing I can recall disagreeing with him on is regular motor oil as 2 stroke oil
