Hello ODK history lovers
In the day Australia’s Victa was an international success,
exporting to over 50 countries. Victa was a winner of
numerous export awards.

Victa opened its first UK office in 1961, and this was central
to expansion across Europe. By 1965 Victa had won its first
export award.

This brochure dates to the 1980s and it depicts the Victa range
of domestic rotary and reel [cylinder] Mowers.

This is a UK brochure featuring the domestic Victa rotary models of the day: -
the Silver Streak, the Power Plus, the Valiant, the Vortex, and the Victa Utility.

Of particular interest to me is the Victa Swordsman reel mower.
Heard of them? They were never sold in AUS or NZ.

It’s not certain who actually made these mowers.
Forum chatter from The Old Lawnmower Club members give
credible evidence that these mowers were made by the Dutch
Claeys Agriculture Machinery Company of Belgium.
