I'll have to say that this would have to be the best standard of restoration that I've seen on a Model 38 along with member Bon_Scott's early 38 that he did.
What I really love about this one is the colour of the Series 1 machine is just so period correct. I have to ask, did you have the colour custom mixed and if so do you have a record of the formula used ?
BTW I do see there's a little sneaky bit of Briggs inbred into that Kirby. One thing I'll put out there and that is the Kirby has always been a far more interesting looking small engine opposed to the Briggs which is a far more boring looking unit. I'd say it's got to do with the Kirby's prominent forward facing fuel tank and it's pronounced Air Cleaner that seems to attract one's eye. Anyway just my point of view I guess.
