Hey there Sapper,
that is certainly the steal of the century right there. I believe it was relatively rare to see that base with a two stroke, especially so late.
I say use it as you wanted a mower that will last and as you are meticulous as you say with your stuff, it will have the best chance of doing just that. It even has a wash port included!!
