This subject had been bothering me quite a few years so I want to get it off my chest.
Here in Ettalong on the central coast of NSW, I am situated in a somewhat low socio economic area with a section of well to do retirees and other folks in fancy looking homes while others have a very rough looking appearance to them living in cheap units and rental properties. I live in a fairly busy street during the day close to a small retail strip with some restaurants near by and I constantly get an unfriendly insular vibe from the locals here. Many who pass by our place look in and scrutinise you, often with negative body language that I can't put a finger on and many, especially the younger crowd have a snarky expression on their faces and suddenly stop talking as they walk past.
It's a very pretty area spoiled by bad hostile vibes Fein people. There seems to be a lot of drunkenness on a Saturday night from young people going to and from the pub (not my scene at all) and just this mean insular word weird vibe many people. A lot flout the rules openly by riding their bikes on the footpath without helmets, speeding in their cars, loud exhausts etc.
I haven't felt threatened but the faces of people around here just look hostile a lot of the time and it builds up inside. Even nearby localities feel better, though less than ideal as well.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
