Servicing the carburetor on my Victa Vortex (running not well), but after cleaning everything and putting it back together, the throttle cable keeps jamming as I move it from Run > Stop, and back again. When I remove the washer from the top of the diaphragm, it's fine, moving run > stop and back feel fine, smooth, it's only when I put the washer on.
I've checked many times that the lifter is seated correctly, it is. I checked that the cable is inserted into the cam correctly, it is. I checked the cable itself, a little rough/aged, but it still seems to move in/out ok without getting stuck. tried installing the washer both ways just in case, no change, still stuck. Everything looks fine (to me), but it's when I put the washer in, for some reason, the throttle doesn't like it.
Has anyone experienced this before or know what it might be? I serviced the same carb on my Tiger the other week, didn't recall there being any issues putting it back together. This has me stumped.
