I think something else was going on before I got to it as they normally don't work that swiftly.

I originally went into PayPal and opened up the transaction and then scrolled to the bottom where you'll see the link to the "Resolution Centre". This link actually takes you back to the eBay Resolution Centre.

I clicked on that and it let me open up a case even though the delivery date had not yet come about.

In the reason for refund box, I stated that I suspected no item had been sent since the seller was de-registered and as such this would've rung alarm bells at their end with a de-registered seller being involved and thus they would've simply known what was happening with that seller ID and simply refunded me my funds plus GST.

With the fact your seller is still afloat but obviously not for very much longer I suspect, this will not allow a refund to occur until after the due dates of the saws involved.

If they de-register the ID in the meantime then you to will get an instant refund as they like to keep buyers happy as that's really what makes them their money.

No buyers equals no income for eBay.
