Scott Bonnar 'Ratreel' c2014

Hello ODK Story Lovers

Many folk enjoy restored garden equipment.
Most fall into two categories - the minimalist restorer, who preserves patina;
and the full-resto restorer who attempts a showroom restoration.

I have certainly seen examples of 'over-restoration'; where the restorer
goes way beyond how a machine left its mortal maker.

However, once in a while, an exceptional piece of art comes along.
It's not a 'restoration' - but a re-interpretation of a machine.

Yes, restoration purists may loathe them; but many folk appreciate that
life is pretty straight without a twistie.

This re-interpretation of a Scott Bonnar model 45 was created by
member peettee of WA in 2014.

OutdoorKing thanks peettee for so generously sharing his creation
with us.

It really is stunning!

I've got a great idea Why don't we release a DVD and call it "Jack's Greatest Hits" LOL !!! Cheers, BB.

Hello Bonnar Bloke
I'm humbled. Oh, stop talking you ... keep talking smile

Yes, I see how this will develop - DVD, tele-movie, made-for-tv series,
movie blockbuster ...

Marketing: McHappy meal toys, uni-sex 'Jack and Jill' T-shirts,
'Jackolicious' ice-creams, 'CyberJack' action figures, 'Jack-o-lantern'
lighting products, 'Jack-be-nible' sports clothing, 'Jack-on' sunscreen,
'Jack-off' underwear, 'The House-that-Jack-Built' homes, 'Jack S#@t'
range of toiletries, 'Black Jack' casinos, 'Hungry Jack's' takeaways ...

Wait ... what?

I see what you did there.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!
