Victa VC160 - New Old Stock

Hello ODK Image Buffs

One of the most amazing stories presented on these forums was one
told by the enigmatic Mr Davis.

He acquired a NOS Victa VC 160! in mid 2012.
The story and images are fantastic!

G'day CyberJack,
I wonder if there is a 125 out there? Never say never.
Mr Davis was generous to share pics of this once in a lifetime find. He could so easily have taken the secretive route due to security concerns, but allowed us to glimpse what these were like new.
Blumbly was so correct about photos not doing justice, especially with how flash photography highlights the tiniest flaws, in this case the surface rust that long term storage inevitably results in. I'm actually impressed with how good the black shroud looks.
It would be a crime against humanity to ever put this to work. Just putting fuel in and starting it would affect it's preservation, as the vibration could rub the tyres against the ground for example.
I hope it ends up in a museum some day.

Ahh, if only victa had kept producing the thumblatch catcher series, they would be in better shape today!

That's a very apt thing to say.
In fact, Mr Davis was robbed of a large part of his collection a few years' back.
I understand why some things will not see light of day in today's world.

Regrettably, mum's the word.
