Good luck with the resto, I'm sure it will come up a treat.

Good luck with it.

Id be keeping an eye out for another base. Ive never tried to fix one but i imagine that they would not be easy to weld.

I picked up a base similar to that for $5 on eBay a while back. Just got it for the wheels. Got a similar steel catcher as that one but mines all rusty at the bottom.

The guy where i take my scrap, he sells the alloy base mower for $25ea. He doesnt care if its a low arch victa or a late model with a 5Hp motor on it. Scrap merchants are a good place to keep an eye out.

Ive got a Corvette to fix up for the collection but it does not have the side discharge hole. Will get pics up one day.

I actually think i may have one already, however i need to dig it out of the back of the shead, and check if it is the right one.

I'm going make sure i use the same base, although there are some similar ones that are almost indistingishable (The difference is in the badge) i have the original paperwork for this model, and i am more than happy to hold out till i can get the right parts to fully bring it back to the pictures.

I Have just added a few photos to the gallery from a recent ebay sale (i missed it sadly)of a complete N.O.S mower of this exact model, its how i hope this one will come up.
