SHOWCASE - Precision Mowers - 2021

Hello ODK Showcase lovers
This Showcase pays tribute to one of the seminal but small
players in post-war lawnmower history – Precision Mowers of
Mt Alexander Road, Essendon, Melbourne.

Precision Mowers played a part in the Golden Era of lawnmower
production; when a number of ‘small players’ could have a go at
making power lawnmowers post WWII.

Precision started with converting ‘pushies’ to petrol, but later
designed and made their own little rotary mower.

The thing that makes this story remarkable is that the family
has become involved, with sincere thanks to ODK member Claude.

Good Evening CyberJack and ODK Members,

I was fortunate to purchase the Precision Hurricane powered Rotamow that was posted earlier this year. A friend kindly bought it up to Brisbane for me, all I had to do was replace the fuel line and it fired up straight away.

I have posted the video here for the record 👍🙂

Hi Paul
Many thanks for adding to the record .... smile

I find it particularly rewarding when we remember the small players
that played a part in the 'Golden Days' of AUS rotary mowers ...
when small businesses could make an honest buck and make
an honest, quality lawnmower.

We get to hear a Hurricane engine and collectors get to see
a sensitive and thoughtful restoration.

A sincere Thank you
------------------------
Jack
