I have just bought a Greenfield Jillaroo and I'm trying to find out some information about it.
There doesn't seem to be much on the net for this model. I'm guessing it must be rare.
What size engine ? The engine has been painted over and I'm not sure if it is a an 8hp briggs or an 11

Help us to help you, post a couple of pics of your machine and the numbers on the cowl on the engine (model, type, code). There are a few Greenfields experts on here that can help you out with some of that additional info.

Hi Damo, very similar to the Stallion and the XL5, good little machine, in my opinion a better machine than the front engine ones as there is less weight over the front wheels as steering is always an issue with these machines that have both rear wheels in constant drive. If you put a bit of effort and time into it you will have a good little unit. The deck height adjuster is a bit primitive. As for the motor it might even be a 5 hp unless somebody has fitted a bigger one but for these 5 hp is adequate

Thanks mate. I know the stallion well it had a fwd-rev g/box and 5hp brigg. I was actually looking for one when I found this.
This one has the heel toe drive system like the tractors and a bigger motor. I emailed Greenfield and they said was similar to an 8xl and 11xl but had no literature they could give me. I would love to get some specs on this machine.
I have an electric start gxv 390 I would like to drop into it if it will fit .

Hi Damo, the heel and to is a better setup than the gearbox on the Stallion, at least you can use the heel and toe as a brake,with the gearbox, end up in neutral on a slope and you have a billy cart without brakes. The 390 should fit but it is a big motor on a small machine

Damo, I think I've only heard of a Jillaroo once before! Might have been in a gumbay ad.

If you end up finding a parts catalogue for this machine or the xl's please let us know as it would be good to copy it and add it to the manuals library here on the forum.

Hi PRD, I don't think they built many of these Jillaroos like you I have not seen one in person, and only one on Ebay/Gumtree I think
